Michelle Aalders, Accompanist

Michelle Aalders is a native of Nova Scotia. She received her Master of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and her Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Music degrees from Acadia University. Her teachers have included Frances Clark, Louise Goss, Phyllis Lehrer, Janice Stephens and Dalton Baldwin.

She was a sessional professor at the University of Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Conservatory of Music and has taught students in Nova Scotia, New Jersey, British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Michelle has served as accompanist to the Cantabile Singers of Kingston, the Cardston Girls Choir, the Saskatoon Opera Society and the Saskatoon Summer Players. She is the music director and organist at Third Avenue United Church, and coordinator for the noon hour concert series "Thursdays at Third Avenue". Michelle is a member of the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers Association and maintains a thriving piano studio.
